Crested Butte, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: The main range of the Elk Mountains, featuring Avery Peak (3854m, 12644ft), which is the peak to the left. Avery Peak has a huge flat mountain face, almost like a pyramid, but it's not facing the camera. The picture was taken from the Gothic road. We had a lot of sun and it was very warm with a lot of snow melting, but we have 2 snowy days ahead of us.

Exquisite image, Marie! The details of the trees, backed by the snow cover, really draw the viewer in. Kudos to you, and congratulations on the AC recognition.

About mamarie

I currently live in the high Rockies of Colorado. There is a lot of scenery to capture here being surrounded by gorgeous mountains in all directions. I also like to capture weather events. I lived in Romania and New Mexico before, from where I also posted pictures.
