It has been 4 1/2 years since Ike hit Galveston and there is still storm damage visible here. Hurricanes are normal for the Gulf Coast.

Thanks Elaine & Peg.
I am thinking that they may not replace the wooden pier because they added that nice concrete one that is more durable. It is a park that belongs to the city of Kenner and was replaced after Katrina.
