Caption: The lightning traveled down as far as the metal fence where the bark peeling ends. Then it followed the fence to a cable TV junction box and blew it up before coming on to the house and filling it with smoke. No fire though, luckily!

A lot funnier now than at the moment. There was an apartment complex that got hit and destroyed 16 units during the same storm. And that night we saw a couple of houses on the news that were also totaled. So we were fortunate. Scared, but turned out OK.
