A quarter inch thick disk of ice which formed overnight in a bucket of fresh rainwater. The underside crisscrossed by saw-tooth lines of paper-thin crystals growing down into the water at all different angles, each line maintaining its angle and repeating its distinctive form. All of this was completely invisible until the ice was lifted from the water. Shot held at arm's length with leaves on the lawn in the distance
