Pocasset, MA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: A quarter inch thick disk of ice which formed overnight in a bucket of fresh rainwater. The underside crisscrossed by saw-tooth lines of paper-thin crystals growing down into the water at all different angles, each line maintaining its angle and repeating its distinctive form. All of this was completely invisible until the ice was lifted from the water. Shot held at arm's length with leaves on the lawn in the distance

I echo Gus! I was wondering when we would begin to see Alan's ice abstracts. This one is quite unusual, Alan.
Thanks for sharing your method.

About isight

Living on Cape Cod in this beautiful spot, trying to notice what the days have to offer, playing along with life as it unfolds, celebrating the wonder of it all. Learning from and being inspired by all the marvelous images and myriad visions expressed; having great fun with comments, titles and captions. And although my vision has blurred, my 'vision' - what I notice that I try to convey - is clearer. This enthusiastic, supportive community is quite exceptional.
