Wow! Beautiful picture... but bluebirds in Michigan this time of year! That must be almost unheard of especially since they feed almost exclusively on insects which are in short supply that far north this time year.

Wow, Thank you everyone, so very much, for all of the kind words!!! It is rare to have them stay around in Michigan, although I remember finding some last year in February. With our mild Winter so far, they may stick around!!

gardner48197 4/2013: Greetings from Michigan, where we get a wide variety of weather changes throughout the four seasons! I originally found this site for the weather, and the photos kept drawing my interest! Decided to get my first digital camera in 2010, and have since upgraded to a Nikon L120/P520, which has helped photography become my favorite hobby! I have always loved the outdoors, and now I have a perfect excuse to get out and explore nature! What a great community here, so many excellent photographers and friends, so little time! I would like to thank everyone who contributes, for all of the great inspiration and feedback! Sometime down the road I would still like to get a DSLR camera, but for now I just I hope to send a small view of life from the Great Lakes State. Home of the Michigan Wolverines! Go Blue! -James
