Whoa! This not only moves, it grooves! That wind sculpture gives a great optical illusion of advancing forward to the viewer, and then back again. Way cool, John!

It was mesmerising watching it. I think the artist was a little annoyed though. He said, somewhat tersely, "Why don't you just buy one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??"

Great comeback wouldda been, "Well, I was *going* to, 'til you proved yourself such a jerk, now go get stuffed instead!".


Happen to hear about the Silver Cowboy? Street performer, painted in silver as a statue, and some drunk was making a royal ass of himself, patting the guy on the ears, giving him a "wet-willie" (for those who don't know, it's when you stick your finger in your mouth, then stick your sloppy-wet finger in the victim's ear), and finally went in front of the SC and was whapping him on the nose, when the SC hauled off and punched the drunk right in the face, then went right back in-character. :D

I am always amazed at those statue guys. I saw one in Auckland one time : it was a rugby player, and I actually thought it was a bronze statue. I walked past, and was back about 5 minutes later and thought, "Strange, that statue was not like that 5 minutes ago." Then the penny dropped. :-)
