Thank you Kt. I was absolutely amazed. I just can't do this on my SLRs with my current selection of lenses.

I think the term "point and shoot" is somewhat misused these days Kt. I prefer to call them "compacts". The 510 has got as many controls as the 650D and has a lot more range without having to change lenses. It can also do things the 650D can't : full panorama, 3D images to play back on your 3D TV, time lapse (without having to by a remote) for example. But there are things the SLR will do that the 510 can't : great burst shooting (without making you shoot blind), much better viewfinder, less liable to make the photographer subject to lens envy. :-)

Definitely the one to consider, when my present pocket camera (Sony DSC-TX10) gives up the ghost.
