I had completely forgotten about today's eclipse and went in to Newmarket for coffee with friends. Outside the café there were staff and customers looking skyward. Naturally, I did the same thing. And was SO thankful that I had taken my camera with me to coffee.

Looks like Australia wasn't the only one to have a cloudy day. Too bad you were not closer to the path of totality.

Thanks everyone, and thanks Approvers for making the sky blue.

It would have been great to be in Cairns.

I would have seen this:-

Great shot! Congrats! I have a P-510 as well and it goes with me almost everywhere - can't get the shot unless you have the camera at hand. 10s

Obsessive! What - moi??

I am pretty pleased too, Kt. With the next eclipse here not until 2028 this could well be my last. And it is the only solar one that I have managed to photograph.
