I like the photo, and have tried many times to get the same effect. However, it reminds me of an old joke about a fellow from Texas who told a friend from New England that the great thing about Texas was you could see for miles and there's not a tree to spoil the view . . .

Hey thanks Jamejo ! Pretty funny observation as well . Alot of things can spoil the view around here AND it usually isn't a tree :P .

Awesome perspective, Tim. Your lens captures the beautiful truth and essence of this rural scenery that is part of my daily life and I have learned to love. Thanks for shooting it so excellently and preserving a legacy. 10!

About docshovel39
docshovel39 Hello , my name is Tim . I live in the small farming community of Ropesville , Texas with my wife and photo partner Sherry . I got involved with photography because of my older brother Steve - a fantastic photographer who lives outside of Seattle , WA . My favorite work , apart from his , is a terrific book entitled " Ghosts in the Wilderness " by Tony and Eva Worobiec . It captures the remains of small , abandoned rural communities across the Midwest , much of it shot in black and white . I also have become a fan of photographer Jim McGuire . His black and white shots ( nashvilleportraits.com) are amazing . Thank you for your comments and have a GREAT day !
