The light from the rising sun was not visible to the naked eye when this image was shot. A 15 second exposure at 3200 ISO was needed to bring it out!

Maybe that's what is meant by Nautical or Astronomical twilight, which are listed in the "Astronomy" section of WU's local weather page. In Ann Arbor this morning they were about an hour and an hour and a half respectively before sunrise.Looks like a cold morning!
