Tapaktuan in south Aceh was lucky at the time of the 2004 tsunami in that we have the mountains coming right down to the water and so the beach is ,deep, and therfore we only had a very high tide.no shallows for a wave to build up.You are welcome to visit me,usually busy painting

But I am remembering the horror you all lived through with your tsunami several years ago. I remember and honor those lost their lives as I look at this peaceful scene.
