Alot of people ignore 'Road Closed' & 'Flood' signs only for their vehicle to come to grief in the floods. This is the flooded stretch of the A361, looks like the silver vehicle is a pick up truck! Pic taken on max optical zoom (336mm) with 2x digital zoom.

Wow, I don't know why people think they can drive through water like that. Great capture.

As far as i'm aware you are not insured (in UK) if you ignore a road closed, flood sign & your vehicle then comes to grief in the floods.

You started Quacking yet Dave? You had it worse than we did, but St Asaph and Denbigh are a mess. Love the photo but not the problem, I got waved through on a flooded road by the Police, who brought a sign out after I passed to close the road!!

Just another case of. "It doesn't look too bad and I'm in a hurry."
Doesn't seem to matter if its floods or blizzards there's always that percentage of the, "I'll be all right people."

Great image of weather conditions and human inappropriate stubbornness and carelessness! Great series, Dave, congratulations on the VIP selection!

About WurzelDave
WurzelDave I'm a 30 something 'wurzel' who lives in South West England (UK) in the county of Somerset (next to Devon), famous for scrumpy cider, Cheddar cheese, The Wurzels (well worth going to see) & birth county of 2009 F1 world champion Jenson Button.Like the rest of the West Country, Somerset has many areas, places & landscapes worth a visit such as Glastonbury Tor & Abbey ruins, Quantock hills, West Somerset Railway, Cheddar Gorge, & Exmoor, to name but a very few.Favourite holiday destiations are Iceland (see alot of photos) & the Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi Sweden (also see photos). Still a lover of the flim camera, my first camera was an Halina 110 camera which you could buy flip flashes for! Now have a Canon 3000V SLR film camera, i also have Canon powershot A3300 & SX150 digital cameras which are useful for close up macro shots & also makes film 'last' longer!
