Seventeen months after rescue, Good Boy -- a handsome Australian Cattle Dog (aka ACD or Blue Heeler) -- has his own 'seeing eye person' and enjoys many walks and the feel of the sun on his coat! Blindness must never be a death sentence, and Good Boy is living proof of the happiness that can be found when a person learns that life is best lived, by seeing with one's heart!

Dear WU approvers, Do pet photos ever show up in the most current photo galleries? I posted this and the other one of Good Boy in order to paint a heart picture of how much a blind soul can enjoy life and weather. This photo could never have happened if this special dog's blindness had been a death sentence. Good Boy and I celebrate life every day by spending some of it walking and drinking in the abundant blessings of temperature, wind, sunshine, clouds, different times of day or night -- and I am made a beter person for witnessing his embrace of life! (I'm posting this same query at both photos of Good Boy that I posted today, in hopes that one or the other will garner a response from someone at WU that's far more savvy on the ways in which photos appear in photo galleries.)

I'm so glad that you have the same kind of love for animals that my wife and I do. We have had many animals in our 41 years of marriage including horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, and now birds (mainly parrots).

About WigglesMom
WigglesMom Born & raised in SW Ohio; have lived in west-central Ohio's Amish & Mennonite wonderful farm country for 27 years. Drove semi trucks for 27 years & have been a property rights / natural resources researcher since 1999. Had *Raffles/Skowronek Arabian horses for 34 years. Enjoyed beyond words the 12+ years that Wiggles Blue Heeler (Aust. cattle dog) graced my life; thankful to God & Wiggles for orchestrating the miracles that led to my rescuing "Good Boy," another blue heeler (pictured) in early March 2011. The greatest blessing in life is getting to live it! I've always loved to take pictures & seem to have a natural eye for it. Thanks to Weather Underground for this chance to display some of my photos!
