Danville, VA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Cardinal in the crabapple tree. In years past, I thought this was a cherry tree as the little crabapples are exact same size as cherrie. Seems like our crabapple tree down on the farm used to have apples that really looked like apples but just a lot smaller but not this small.

Nice Cardinal photo. Wish we had these here, but never seen one around here.

I think these are pretty much left to wildlife!
It is a tree that I see on my daily walk.

My mother-in-law used these tiny crab apples to can though I did not like them but one year I made spiced apples like they sometimes have in restaurants and they were really good. Tree was struck by lightning and that ended that.
