Station building built during the creation of the line Warsaw - St. Petersburg in 1861 in the classical style. The first passenger train traversing the entire route from Warsaw to St. Petersburg, appeared in Bialystok in September 1862. The increasing number of transport at the end of the nineteenth century made the station was expanded. During World War I, the building was burned by the retreating Russian troops. After the war, rebuilt station.
