Trinidad, CA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Three orcas showed up this evening in Trinidad Bay. I don;t know if they were "residents --" the ones who eat only salmon -- or "transients," who nosh on baby whales and seal pups and other cute stuff. They stuck around for about an hour. I've lived here for over 30 years, and this was the first time I'd seen them in the region.

About Tsurai

Tsurai

I'm fortunate enough to live 'way up on the northwestern coast of northern California, an area sometimes referred to as The Humboldt Nation, or the land behind the redwood curtain. Work takes me on the road six months a year, but the rest of the time is mine to surf, kayak, fish, watch birds, and of course take photographs of this remarkable region.
