We've had 2 tropical storms and 2 extremely high tide events this summer causing about 4 feet of beach sand to be eroded from the NE side of Jekyll Island where this photo was taken. You see the dark thunks on the beach that are fallen trees that were buried and are now exposed .

I love the water, rivers, oceans, muddy marshes - all of it. I especially love being out there in natural world. Obviously lots of you do too. Which is one of the reasons I love this site so much. Thank you all so much for your time and effort to visually share your part of the world with us. And thank you in advance for your honest feedback, which I always learn from, and your kind commentary applause, which always motivates me to get out and shoot more photos.I've decided to "go without photo comments" because WUG email seems more personal and because most of the the really great e-buddies I've developed on WUG were made using e-mail over years.
