Took I-81 S from Scranton, PA yesterday, trying to head to Lancaster and York. My Nagigator told me to hop onto Rt 72 at Lickdale Road. Turns out it was a bad idea. My heart goes out to all the Mid-Atlantic/New England folk who have suffered a 1-2 punch from Irene and Lee.

Wow! That looks like here in NJ but last week after Hurricane Irene. Sure hope you didn't try to go through it! It's a shame how much damage there was due to flooding and downed trees and power lines. Prayers to all who were affected by these storms and the aftermath....

Thanks for your comment Melissa! No...I turned about face pretty quickly. The water appeared to be 3-4' deep. I was returning from a trip to Maine and had traveled through PA, NJ, NY, CT, and NH on 9/3 and 9/4. I was lucky enough to find a hotel room in Danbury, CT on Saturday night after looking for 4 hours. FEMA and the poor utility crews had swallowed nearly all rooms in the area. I agree...what the area did not need was more grief!

Nice to see that Climate Change has already had an impact on Exxon.

Oh no, not another disaster on the road to Scranton, Pennsylvania!
