Bill was not much of a storm event for the Outer Banks. Although, there was the larger wave every few minutes.

Awesome perspective. You really can't get a sense of how big those waves were in a picture unless you know the area and have stood in front of one at any time in your life. LOL

I have and that one would have freaked me out.

The wave was about 10-12 feet and I had to wait almost 30 minutes for one worthy of wunderground. It broke (crashed) offshore about 100 meters, thankfully. Most of the imported sand (brought in to protect homes)had washed away and two houses were in the path of the wave.
