This is Long Beach Boulevard, which runs along the beach in Holgate. During the middle of the night when the winds were strongest, sand blew from the beach, over the dunes and around the beachfront houses, to the road. The result was a minor, yet consistent accumulation of sand on the road and on many objects close to the ocean. This included cars parked next to beachfront houses where the sand could get at.
