They are migrating, but have chosen this small pond because it has open water. They come in from the fields and circle endlessly above before they decide what is the right time to land. I'm sure the fishing eagles have something to do with the timing and their chosen landing spot! These snows and the White fronted geese are more skiddish of the eagles. The Canada geese seem to be less worried and land when they feel like it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
