When disaster strikes, the American Red Cross is there to help. Last year, the Northeast Florida Chapter provided emergency disaster assistance to more than 400 families when they needed it most, no matter when the call came. Red Cross volunteers and staff are poised to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

About NEFLRedCross
NEFLRedCross Disasters can happen at any time, any place, and can come in many different forms. It's hard to imagine the terror of a raging house fire, tornado or hurricane; the total helplessness as a home succumbs to rising flood waters; the anguish of losing everything. Dedicated volunteers provide comfort and basic emergency needs, such as food, clothing, shelter and counseling. Last year, more than 450 families fell victim to house fires and other disasters in our community. In addition to disaster response, staff and volunteers trained thousands upon thousands of residents on how to prepare for and prevent damage from hurricanes, fires, floods and tornadoes. Whether one, or one thousand families are threatened by disaster, your Northeast Florida Chapter stands ready to respond.
