Beautiful B&W series! I love the pile of rocks on this one, and the reflections surrounding them. I think this is a great example of how wonderful B&W photography can be: in color, I might have wondered why you took the picture. But in B&W, it's wonderfully rich with texture and detail!

Thanks for your comments!! Being new to this B&W imaging, I took pictures today that would have a hard surface for this reason. I would have no other reason to take a photo of this. I'm just working on tones and contrast right now. I truly appreciate your thoughts on this! You've helped me along the way! : )

Julie: I have read the dialogue above and see that you received comments from some of our best monochrome photogs.
I was impressed with the shadows in this photo.
Got any more at this bleak time of year now?

You are right Betsy! I should be out getting more shots while most everything is in a natural state of B&W! Not really sure why I haven't. I guess the dreary weather has gotten the best of me!!

About MTDisk
MTDisk Hi, my name is Julie. Photography has always been of interest to me and now I can safely say my feet are getting wet! After raising 2 children and many commitments I am now finding some increments of time to spend on my new hobby! While still raising/training a puppy and husband I hope to hone a few skills yet! I am always in amazement of the talent on WU Photos! While I absorb, enjoy and learn from each and every one of you, I hope that your patience can hang with me while I learn. I have always loved weather, nature, animals and flora. To me it is all atmospheric related! Thank you all for your inspiration!
