I was on my run this morning and saw this crabapple tree. What caught my attention was that the lower half of the tree (just coming into the morning sunlight) was covered in ice. We had our first, very light, snow yesterday and it was melting/freezing on the crabapples. Also the icicles were being bent by the wind. I changed my running route to include a stop at my house to grab my camera and headed back. The ice was still there when I arrived, though it was melting fast!

I really enjoy this site. The wonderful photos I see here never cease to amaze, and inspire me. I look forward to reading the comments on my photos. I am inordinately pleased when I am awarded an Approvers Choice. I use Nikon equipment and am especially fond of macro photography. I continue to be astounded by the beauty in the miniature world visible though my lens. Additionally, I rarely have to venture very far to find interesting subjects.The Henry Doorly zoo is my favorite location. If you get to Omaha Nebraska.
