I know this photo isn't spectacular like lots of those on this site, but it spoke to me of late summer and I felt a connection. I thought you might like it too. This pond started out this spring, as they all do, with no vegitation. Then came the lilly pads, and now it is practically filled with reeds.

I love this Larry. The blending of colors looks as though they were all painted on. It's beautiful. Cute little guy.

Thank you all for you kind comments. I took this photo with my 200 mm macro lens. I love that lens. It is super sharp and allowes me to get photos I just can't make with other lenses. I thought it was aweful expensive when I bought it, and it was. But I have taken enough images like this one so that I feel the cost is justified.

LarryD I really enjoy this site. The wonderful photos I see here never cease to amaze, and inspire me. I look forward to reading the comments on my photos. I am inordinately pleased when I am awarded an Approvers Choice. I use Nikon equipment and am especially fond of macro photography. I continue to be astounded by the beauty in the miniature world visible though my lens. Additionally, I rarely have to venture very far to find interesting subjects.The Henry Doorly zoo is my favorite location. If you get to Omaha Nebraska. I highly recommend you spend some time at the zoo with your camera. Larry
