Thank you so much for commenting! I have seen many "colored clouds" lately in the skies. This is by far the most clearly defined as far as the variety of colors. Some people say it is HAARP influenced, others diffraction of light. I just love seeing the unusual in our skies.

Nice work, it sort of looks like a topical map of Europe with Italy chopped in half.

Here in CA we had a similar occurance last week before a couple of rainy days came through, but it wasn't nearly as spectacular as the one you captured. Thanks for sharing.

I've never seen a rainbow cloud. Rainbow sherbet, yes. But yours is beautiful and natural. Thank you for the visual treat.

About Kavannah

Kavannah

I am an avid skywatcher. I photograph at least twice a day usually dusk and dawn for most images. I have been capturing unusual or uncategorized pictures nearly everyday. I have been diligent about debunking common causes. I can find no correlation with the photos and the weather (ie: humidity levels, temperature, barometric pressure, sunspot activity, electromagnetic earth readings, or even pollen counts).
