I have now made two different do it yourself (DIY) macro lenses for my iPhone. I got the idea for the first is from this web site where you can use the lens from a disposable camera.

The one I used for Yeah, I'm look'n at you is made from an inexpensive hand lens from Harbor Freight. You can see the lens at this website: Link

Here is the finished macro lens for my iPhone. All I did was drill out the pin holding the two lenses together and made the clip from coat hanger wire.
Most any lens will work. You just need to work out some way to attach the lens to your cell phone. These two lenses that I made will work with any cell phone. You just need to work out a way of attaching the lens to the phone. I have even taken macro shots through the magnifying glass on my swiss army knife. These DIY lenses can be configured to work with most any cell phone camera.
There are also commercial lenses available such as the Olloclip available from Apple and other sources.
