When we were kids growing up in rural Henry county, Illinois, we had great fun setting the silky seeds of the milkweed free to float away in the breeze. This particular pod lost two as I stopped to photograph it along the Hennepin Canal Parkway this morning...

UPDATE: OH! Congrats on another fine AC!!
A very delicate and silky beauty !
This DOES it for me, anyway!
Perfect subject for B&W.
Tonal range just includes all the tones from black to white, Betsy. Ideally, you want to try to have the greatest variety of tones in a B&W image.
Update: AC congrats!
I'm not a fan of B&W, but this is an exception, even for me!
Congratulations on your AC for this
gorgeous black and white.
