West Dean,West Sussex, United Kingdom

Caption: Several moments of thinking about this location, falling snow prevented long exposures with lens pointed even slightly skyward, compromised with f10 and 4 seconds, could have spent the day here, but things to do, more important than taking pictures, damn?

Beautiful pictures with excellent composition in this series. When I was growing up in the New World sometime during the last century, we had people with the name of Weir in our village, and now I wonder if the name came from weirs where there ancestors were responsible for keeping the dams in order.

Your wide-angle shots always covey such great, almost dizzying, motion! Outstanding!! And no, there's not much more important than taking pictures. Breathing, maybe ... :)

I prefer this composition to the AC. Both moody & cold, conveying the darkness of winter eves.
