Actually, I think you have a female Purple Finch here...she's more heavily streaked and has a more defined facial pattern. Keep your eyes peeled for the raspberry-colored male! (I use Cornell's All About Birds site for IDs.)

It does seem too white for a house finch.
It is a nice Finch whatever type it may be.
