Thank you for your nice comments. Most of these were shot through double paned windows and some even through the screens. Not my best technical work:( Soon spring will be here and outside I go:)

I was in Biloxi (Keesler) the winter of '57-'58 when it snowed. It even snowed in New Orleans. The natives were stunned! Being a native Minnesotan, I just laughed and got in snowball fights with the Navy guys across the street.

Wow, that's a good amount of snow even up here in Canada! Isn't it beautiful though? I love how it clumps so fluffy on all the foliage. Winter is long and sometimes tough up here in Canada but when you get days of thick fresh snow in the forest, it makes it worthwhile.

I just thought of something: Mississippi used to be a big cotton producer (still is?); doesn't all that fluffy fresh snow look like cotton?

Just had a peek at Starkville through Google Streetview, you have a nice little town.

Atikokan, Thanks for the note. Well, I don't care much for snow but since I don't have to get out in I enjoy it more.
There is still a lot of cotton produced in Miss but a lot of the cotton land is now producing, of all things, cat fish in huge ponds. The state is now the largest producer of cat fish in the US.
