We don't generally get that much snow so early Tim, but I don't mind (I'm a secret snow lover)!

It's a poorly kept secret that people from Winnipeg keep complaining about the snow and cold, but are secretly proud of it heavysnow!

Rumor has it that Winnipeg has eleven months of bad weather and one month of good skating.
I'll take any type of snow except slush.
My favorite snow storms are the ones that go south of my location.

Say Bill if you didn't get enough I would be happy to share, we have about 17 inches right now and it is breezy and still snowing a bit. Happy winter.

That's a little bit of an exaggeration John we only have two weeks of good skating, the rest of the time it's to cold to go out!

That's a lot of snow Bill. Send some down to Northern NM. I love the snow too. Some winters we get a lot others just very little. I don't like the cold tho. Last 2 days has been cold and very windy.
Winds up to 40 mph gusts, and temp now at 20, but supposed to get down to +2 degrees tonight. we see -15 & -20 periodically. Have seen it years ago down to -30, and 36 inches of snow. Thats not the usual tho.

It can get cold here too Gil; however right now it's about normal at -8C or 18F. and just a middling breeze from the west!

Bill, I'm glad you're willing to share your 50 weeks of bad weather with us.
We just got a dusting of snow and 18ºF out of this storm system, all of the walkways cleaned up with the leaf blower.

I just made a path to the back gate this year John, and out front paths are cleaned up by a guy from the complex; very handy for a pair of seniors!

Bill, the hardest thing this senior does with snow is control the snow blower and pull my boots off when I'm done.

I don't own a snow blower John (no need); however the hardest thing I have to do in winter is after a mild spell when the sidewalks freeze up into ice, and I have to navigate through the hazards!

I recognize that Safeway parking lot.

I liked your first photo with the kids on the snow pile AND the loader operator was right in trying to deter them from being there... very dangerous for them.

I would have posted a comment there, but it says comments disabled..

Yes chipspins, that's the parking lot of the new Safeways!
I don't know why the comments were disabled; I tried to fix it but it wouldn't work!
