Thanks Heidrun! As I said to Eileen, I have had trouble in the past capturing detail in moon shots with my SLR using manual focus,so I tried auto focus (along with manual controls for exposure and ISO, etc), with my bridge camera, and it seems to work fine!

Thanks Eileen! I had difficulty capturing detail in the past with moon shots, but with this camera , though I use manual for all the other controls, auto focus seems to work well.
