Ice sculpture that made 1st place in their contest. 7 Shot HDR. Overall I was surprised not to see more ice sculptures than what I saw, but I heard the cold snap, sub zero temperatures on Friday night made it especially difficult to the sculptures. It caused the ice to shatter frequently. But that's just what someone said. I'm not so sure it would be true.

At the ice hotel in Sweden once they have harvested the ice out of the Torne river they store it in large freezer warehouses at around -5c ready for the next build the following winter. If the outside air is too cold when the ice is taken out of the warehouse it can crack & shatter due to the temperature difference (rather like putting ice cubes into a cold drink).
Congratulations on the AC!
