jjulian, right after this shot the clouds thickened and muted the colors. The pillar disappeared. I was lucky to catch the sunrise when I did. It just started when I was leaving my apartment.

Beautiful! We had peeks of these same gorgeous pinkish colors north of you, but too much cloud cover for it to really break through. Wonderful to see the full sky like this...thank you for catching it and sharing! Congratulations!!

Beautiful! Nice sun pillar. I have found mornings to be much more color filled than the evenings this past year. Could have something to do with the change in our weather pattern too. Anyway, great shot!

About Fieldofflowers

Fieldofflowers

Every day that I come here, I'm amazed by the awesome photos I see. I love to take photos of whatever catches my eye. Usually my photos have something to do with nature. Insects and flowers have always been a big interest. You can also find me on Flickr. Summer '09 goal: Aiming to take pictures daily, and upload some of my favorites. I hope people enjoy them as much as I do. Most of the time, the fun comes from taking the pictures, more than the actual results. Create your own visitor map! Counter started: 6-21-09
