Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch.

It has been raining steadily for 12 hours now
and we have 1.91 registering in our gauge.

The most I have seen on the WU charts for our
area is 3.14 inches at O'Brien, an area that
usually gets drenched.

It looks like we have another 36 hours coming
from this storm.

Note the riverlets running down our driveway.

Your rain has begun, Julia! I like the title and caption. Sorry you have to endure so much cloudy weather all winter.

Talk about timing - I just got the fall inter-planting of seed in yesterday (sunny and 60 degrees). With luck this rain will pound the seed into the dirt and it's warm enough (50-45) to start germination. Yes, it's dark and it's wet, but we'll see 100 days of dry come late spring.

Thank you Betsy.

Silver is right (as usual), this stuff will
get us a good crop of green for the spring.

Remember, we all have webbing between our toes.

The capture is beautiful, Julia, but I don`t envy you for the continued steady rain !
Your view is beautiful and the grass seems to be getting greener by the minute - and that is something to be enjoyed !

Nice picture of what it is to be WET. I hope that it gets things moist, and soon, beautiful. Hopefully it will not last forty days and forty nights.

Stay dry, Julia. Where is all this rain coming from? You'll know you're in trouble when the animals start two by twoing. It's a lovely photograph despite the damp feeling!

We're unbelievably dry here in the Ozarks. Cattle ponds are down by half and sinking all the time. Reservoirs now have fifteen feet of slope before there is any water. I'm watering my herb garden and shrubs. In November!!

Thank you Cherry and McSadie, for your
notes.

It's a little difficult to stay very dry
while tending the animals, but for the
most part, we are quite warm and comfortable.

I can imagine tending the animals with so much rain is not a picnic! We also have a lot of heavy rain here these days but I'm lucky not to have to work outside! Stay warm, Julia!
