Coatesville, PA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: The Fox Hunt is ready to head out. Due to the Holiday, the riders have dressed for the event. And no, they do not catch and kill a fox. It's no longer about the kill, but rather the thrill of the chase. Foxes are smarter than you think and have the good sense to go under covert when the don't want to play anymore.

Dogs hunt and foxes run and hide and would do so even without hunters. That is nature, and we are not likely to change it for another few thousand years.

Quoting Cowgazer:
How strange, I used to work on an estate in Cheshire,UK where the Cheshire hunt rides. Does this hunt have links with yours? Nice photo

These are likely related to those in England as this kennel came from England about 100 years ago. This was the 100th anniversary of this hunt.
Thanks for your comment.

About Crisred

Crisred

Hi there! I have been taking pictures for over 30 years and still consider myself an amateur. Only recently have I done much with them, selling cards and calendars in the local marketplace. Wunderground is my testing ground for interesting pics that may end up in next years calendar, and a great place to be inspired by other's creativity. I never cease to be amazed at the beauty my fellow WU photographers can capture or the positive energy and spirit you all put forth. You are truly inspiring and help me to improve. I have lived in the Northeast my entire life, taking up residence in 8 of these majestic states. Traveling and photography are my passion, but not my living. Not yet anyway. A girl can dream!
