Nice shot, Kathy! I actually like the way the sun picks up the contrail! I've had some photos without clouds and only the widening contrails to add some character, especially when the sun picks it up, like this! Congrats on your AC!

Thank you for your comment and your vote, mcmiljo! I don't want to open up the contrail controversy again, but just want to say that contrails "litter the sky" in the same way flower petals litter the ground when they fall. Both can be very pretty. Me, I just wonder whether that is a passenger jet and where all those people are going. Have flown into the sunset many times myself, wondering whether anyone on the ground notices my plane.

This is a great photo; however, I loathe contrails that detract from the true beauty of a photo. I give this a ten, there's not much you can do about contrails that literally litter the sky.

Thanks for your further comment, Lou; I tried to reply but WUG went all haywire last night and I couldn't, so I just logged off for the night.

Thanks, Laurel and Kim! Glad you liked that old chestnut, Kim! Skies like this make me think of it!
