Even though Pilot Mountain will be a long time recovering from the fire last October, there is still plenty of pretty scenery. This late afternoon shot as clouds moved in was loaded without processing.

Fire can create its own beauty, nature tolerated fires for thousands of years as a medicine. Our problem is that we have encroached on nature in the name of protecting it when if fact it would protect us if we would listen to it.
