Overflow at Tempe Town Lake
Uploaded by: ChandlerMike
Sunday January 27, 2013
Caption: We've gotten a lot of rain the last few days here in Arizona, super unusual...I measured 1.39 inches at my house alone. Runoff from the cities and Salt River overflowed Tempe Town Lake so water was running over the top of the inflatable dam last night.
Image Description: A record-breaking winter storm dropped over an inch of rain in Phoenix and much more northeast of the Valley. Runoff down the Salt River forced the Tempe Town Lake Dam to release water downstream.
