The froth blew off the tops of the waves and rolled across the sand, reminding me of soda when it is shaken, not stirred. The stiff, steady, wind carried the sand, stinging my hands and face. A rain pack protected the camera and lens.

I have been a shortwave listener since 1952, an amateur radio licensee since 1975, and active on the Web since 1994 with several Web sites. When we are not busy researching or writing or listening to the shortwave radio or catching up on our stack of photography and computer reading material, we write for Monitoring Times and Radio Netherlands, and dabble in photography. The Canon EOS-20D is our fourth digital camera, and our first DSLR. Our darkroom is the current editon of Photoshop on a Mac, and we are a member of NAPP. |
