WOW! Would I love to live somewhere dark enough to do stuff like THAT! Congratulations, great pic. Chicago area isn't really conducive to astrophotography.

Hi Mel.. thanks for your comment, but you can do this type of imaging from Urban Skies, I live only a mile south of Lowell Ma (big city) and 15 miles north of Boston Ma..my night sky is total sky glow.. and i can barely see the brightest stars in the sky.. added to that fact all the extra holiday lighting was also in play while taking this image..
With the right gear, and patience,, you can acquire these types of images.. 1st thing you must say is..I can :) happy holidays and don't stop trying... cheers John
