When the world is still you can hear her breathe

When you leave Staten Island and go over the Verrazano Bridge onto the Belt Parkway, to Brooklyn, there is a phenomenal view of the bridge. My husband and I got there at the most opportune time, the Golden Hour, before sunset. The sun was in the most wonderful position. There was enough traffic that he was able to slow down and I was able to snap two photos.

Yesterday's 50° temps promised spring, a thaw begun… but the overnight freeze says winter's not quite ready to relax it's hold yet.
14. Missouri River South
|Uploaded by: LarryD||Tuesday March 4, 2014 Omaha, NE|
I went out to shoot the dawn over the Missouri River this morning. There was lots of waterfowl about. I kept thinking this is something like what it must have been when Lewis and Clark came through here. Without the jets taking off, of course.
