Through 9 PM...scattered showers and thunderstorms will begin to show an overall weakening trend as they track southeast at 20 mph over the northern mountains and Spokane region. Locations most likely to be impacted include Spokane...Post Falls...Spangle... Cheney...Tyler and Edwall. To the north...the highest threat area is across southern Pend Oreille and Stevens County...as well as Bonner County Idaho. Rainfall rates of up to a half inch in 30 minutes may lead to minor ponding of water on roads. Also...wind gusts to 30 mph...localized small hail and frequent lighting can be expected.
