Nowcast | as of 6:14 am MDT on July 29, 2014

A large area of showers and thunderstorms stretching from the northern Sacramento Mountains northeast to southern Harding County will continue moving slowly to the northeast around 15 mph. The heaviest rainfall will remain focused over the east Central Plains around Fort Sumner and house...and will move east with time. This main area could produce between an inch to 2 inches of rainfall over the next 2 hours. Rainfall accumulations for the weaker storms will generally be less than half an inch over the same period. Gusty winds and cloud to ground lightning are possible with any storm. Flash flooding remains a threat due to saturated grounds and continued heavy rains...so avoid driving across water covered roads or other low lying areas. Through 830am...areas that will be impacted by the heavy rains include Interstate 40 between Santa Rosa and the Texas border...house...Fort Sumner...and Ragland.
