... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4 am to 4 PM EST
Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory... which is in effect from 4 am to 4 PM EST
Sunday.

* Areas affected: portions of central and southern Virginia.

* Hazards: primarily sleet and freezing rain.

* Accumulations: little or no snow accumulation. A trace to less
than one tenth of an inch of ice accumulation.

* Temperatures: starting in the upper 20s early Sunday morning...
then rising into the lower to mid 30s during the afternoon hours.

* Timing: light snow and sleet becoming sleet and freezing rain
Sunday morning... then transitioning to all rain during the
afternoon hours.

* Impacts: hazardous travel due to ice covered roads... bridges
and overpasses.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
