... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening...

The National Weather Service in New York has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect
until 7 PM EST this evening.

* Locations... northern Middlesex and New Haven.

* Hazard types... snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.

* Timing... snow... moderate at times this morning... before tapering
off this afternoon.

* Visibilities... one half mile or less at times.

* Temperatures... lower 30s early this morning... dropping into the
lower 20s by this afternoon.

* Impacts... hazardous travel conditions due to falling
temperatures and Road icing... reduced visibilities and
accumulating snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

light to moderate snow developing over the region. Between 1 to 2
inches of snow is possible by 8 am.

With visibilities dropping to 1/2 mile at times... and temperatures
dropping below freezing through 8 am... deteriorating Road conditions
can be expected.

Motorists should exercise extreme caution this morning.
