The Weather Channel meteorologist Jim Cantore was inducted into the Punxsutawney, Pa. Meteorology Hall of Fame on Saturday afternoon, capping a day of Groundhog Day festivities in the town.
An employee with The Weather Channel for more than 26 years, Cantore is just the seventh meteorologist inducted into this exclusive club, according to the Punxsutawney Spirit. He joins Stephanie Abrams and Dr. Greg Forbes as employees of The Weather Channel to be honored by the Hall of Fame.

Cantore has been tracking storms for the network for more than two decades and can be found on Weather Center Live, weeknights at 5, 7 and 10 p.m.
