Whistler.
Additional snowfall accumulation of 5 to 10 cm through early this
afternoon at Whistler.
This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected or
occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen

Rainfall warning for:
Metro Vancouver
Fraser Valley - West including Abbotsford
Howe Sound
Sunshine Coast
East Vancouver Island
west Vancouver Island
inland Vancouver Island.
Rainfall amounts of 80 to 200 mm by Monday.
This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or
occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen
for updated statements.
Wind warning for:
Fraser Valley - West including Abbotsford
Sunshine Coast
southern Gulf islands
East Vancouver Island
west Vancouver Island.
Southeast wind 50 to 70 km/h over East Vancouver
Island..Sunshine Coast..southern Gulf islands..west Vancouver
Island will ease this evening.
Southerly winds of 50 to 70 km/h will develop over Fraser
Valley - West including Abbotsford this evening.
This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected
or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather

==Discussion==
an intense frontal system draped across the central coast this
morning will move slowly south today bringing rain at times heavy to
coastal British Columbia. The front will stall across the South Coast
on Monday.
Strong southeast winds of 50 to 70 km/h over exposed
coastal sections of west Vancouver Island..East Vancouver Island..
Sunshine Coast..the southern Gulf islands will ease this evening.
Strong southerly winds of 50 to 70 km/h will develop over Fraser
Valley - West including Abbotsford this evening.
Heavy rain associated with the front will continue over the South
Coast through Monday where over 80 to 200 mm can be expected with the
highest amounts over west Vancouver Island Howe Sound and near the
Northshore mountains.
Snow at Whistler will change over to rain early this afternoon.
An additional 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected at Whistler
before precipitation changes to rain. A rainfall warning may be
required for the Whistler region given the possibility of heavy
precipitation tonight and Monday.

a slow moving intense frontal system over British Columbia South
Coast will continue to bring rain at times heavy over the area.
Rainfall amounts of 80 to 200 mm can be expected through Monday

Meanwhile the front is spreading strong southeast winds of
50 to 70 km/h over exposed coastal sections of the west Vancouver
Island..East Vancouver Island..Sunshine Coast..the southern Gulf
Island. Strong southerly winds of 50 to 70 km/h will develop over
Fraser Valley - West including Abbotsford this evening.
Snow over Whistler has changed to rain this afternoon. A total
of 22 cm of snow has fallen over the region since last night.
A rainfall warning may be required for the region given the
possibility of heavy rain tonight and Monday.
