Weather Underground Forecast for Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

Several low pressure systems will bring areas of active weather to eastern Asia on Tuesday.

First, winds wrapping around a small, yet potent low pressure system in the Sea of Japan will spread moisture across northern Honshu and Hokkaido. This will translate into scattered light to moderate rain showers across these areas through much of the day. Clusters of thunderstorms will accompany locally heavy rainfall during the afternoon and evening. Expect cooler temperatures to follow on Wednesday.

Next, a second low pressure system will push across northeastern Inner Mongolia with rain showers. Showers from this system will spread southeastward through Beijing and Tianjin. Cooler temperatures will accompany shower activity in these regions through Wednesday.

Finally to the south, low pressure remains the dominant weather feature of the south-central provinces of China. Significant moisture over the region will fuel widely scattered showers with areas of locally heavy rain and thunderstorms. Showers will spread into southeastern China Tuesday night into Wednesday.

For Australia, high pressure spans across much of the nation with mostly clear and dry conditions. Meanwhile, chances of showers will persist along the eastern coast of the nation. Expect little change in temperatures along the coast on Tuesday.
